Lady Mathematician Won the Prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award

Hello everyone, I hope some of you might have heard about this news in the last 48 hours... However, if you haven't, then here it is. It's a proud moment for all of us Indians to have such a wonderful person among us, who not just won the India's prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award but also the youngest at the age of 35. Neena is the third woman to win the prestigious Bhatnagar award till date. The other two were, R Parimala in 1987 and R Sujatha in 2004. Whoever interested in her biography, find the details below: She graduated with an honours degree in Mathematics from Bethune college in 2006 She had completed her Post Graduation and subsequently her Ph.D. in ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) in 2008 and 2011 respectively Her specialization under Ph. D. was Algebraic Geometry Rewards & Recognizations : She has received the Indian National Science Academy Young Scientist award in 2014 for the solution she proposed to the Zariski Cancellat
